Side Dish:
Rice with Vermicelli
Rice with Vermicelli
Ingredients:
Oils and Vinegars
3 tsp Vegetables Oil
1 tsp Extra version olive oil
Pasta and Grains
2 cups of basmati rice
½ cup of vermicelli
Baking and Spices
¼ tsp black pepper, ground
1 tsp salt

How to make it:

In a small bowl, add the rice with warm water for 10 minutes, remove the water and set aside.

In a large saucepan, heat the vegetable oil and the extra virgin olive oil over medium-high heat. Add vermicelli and stir for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Add the rice, mix well and add water (to cover the rice and half an inch more). Season with salt and pepper.

Bring to boil while still uncovered. Cover and lower the heat.

In 7-10 minutes, fluff with a fork, and keep it under low heat for 5 more minutes, then serve.
