Onion Soup

Onion Soup with Dried Oregano





6 big white or yellow onions

10 cloves of garlic

1 onion


A dash of Worcestershire sauce


½ cup of croutons


1 cup of shredded Swiss cheese

Oils and Vinegars

Extra version olive oil

Baking and Spices

¼ tsp black pepper, ground

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp whole spice, ground

¼ tsp cloves, ground

 ½ tsp dried oregano

1 bouillon chicken cubes


How to make it:

  • Sauté the chopped garlic and onion over low heat until tender (do not brown) with extra version olive oil.

  • Add four cups of water, season with salt, pepper, whole spice, ground gloves, oregano and a dash of Worcestershire sauce, and let boil for 30 minutes.

  • Fill ovenproof bowls with the soup, add crouton and cheese.

  • Place under the broiler under cheese is bubbly.
