Main Dish:

Kufta Balls with Linguine

Kufta Balls with Linguine

 

Ingredients:

 

Meat

2 pounds of ground 93% or more beef  (you can use lamb as well) 

Produce

6 big tomatoes

1 parsley bunch

Pasta and Grains

1 cup of linguine

Condiments

2 tbsp of tomatoes paste

Oils and Vinegars

Extra version olive oil

Baking and Spices

½ tsp black pepper, ground

1 tbsp salt

½ tsp whole spice, ground

 

 

How to make it:

  • Finely chop the parsley and onion, mix with the ground beef and add the salt, pepper and whole spice. Shape into 30-35 balls.

  • Place meatballs on a greased rack in a shallow baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 24-28 minutes or until no longer pink.

  • In a sauce pan, add extra version olive oil over medium heat, add the chopped onion until browned, and then add the chopped tomatoes with the tomatoes sauce.

  • Let simmer for 15 minutes, add salt, pepper, whole spice and thyme.

  • To serve, add the linguine, then the Kufta balls and the sauce over it.
