Meat and Potatoe Pie
½ pounds of ground 93% or more beef
3 big potatoes
6 cloves of garlic
Oils and Vinegars
Extra version olive oil
Baking and Spices
¼ tsp black pepper, ground
¼ tsp whole spice, ground
¼ tsp cloves, ground
¼ tsp cardamom, ground
5 tbsp Italian breadcrumbs
How to make it:
Sautee the 6 cloves of garlic with extra version olive oil, until lightly browned, then add the potatoes and sautee for a couple of minutes, then add 3 cups of water and let it boil for 30 minutes or until soften.
Meanwhile, finely chop the onion, sautee with extra version olive oil, and add the beef when the onions are browned. Add the salt, pepper and wholespice, and keep it under medium temperature until fully cooked.
Mash the potatoes, and take half of the quantity and spread it over a flat pan, then add a layer of the cooked beef, and a final layer of the rest of the potatoes. Evenly spread out the breadcrumbs and drizzle some extra version olive oil on top.
Put in the oven at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.
